Nothing at Warm Blanket Retreats is fancy or fussy, and nor am I.

I live in Whanganui with my teenage daughters, a scrawny cat, and our very excellent dog. I run my own business as a freelance copy editor, and I definitely know how it feels to be pulled in all directions and how hard it can be to justify taking time for yourself. Last year, I longed for some time out from it all, somewhere cosy and real, surrounded by women who get it, but I couldn’t afford thousands of dollars or the time to head off overseas. I wanted something local and more affordable. So, I created it ... and people loved it and Warm Blanket Retreats was born.

I’m a real person who loves my kids, my dog, good writing, honest conversation, organising things, and the magic that happens when women get together. I work hard to maintain my equilibrium – sometimes I win, and sometimes I have to pay more attention to it. So I particularly value honest connection and moments where you can take a breath and re-set.

Whether you’re arriving solo or with friends, I’m looking forward to meeting you and hanging out for a couple of days.
